Reading for Black Lives Project Partners with EXHALE NYC to Distribute Free Books by BIPOC Authors.

New York, NY — The Reading for Black Lives Project is proud to partner with EXHALE NYC, bringing free books by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) authors to attendees as part of a shared commitment to literacy, wellness, and community care.

The Reading for Black Lives Project is a mutual aid initiative dedicated to increasing access to diverse voices and perspectives by providing free books to BIPOC communities throughout New York City and beyond. Through storytelling, education, and collective care, the organization works to make books more accessible while uplifting historically underrepresented authors.

Attendees are invited to stop by before entering EXHALE NYC and select a free book from a curated collection of works by Black, Indigenous, and POC authors while supplies last.

As an added community-driven initiative, guests who donate a book focused on gardening, farming, nature, cannabis, or wellness will receive $5 off admission at the door.

No ticket purchase is required to claim a free book while supplies last.

EXHALE NYC is a woman-of-color-fueled day party and wellness experience centered on social impact, healing, inclusion, and safer community spaces.

Together, Reading for Black Lives Project and EXHALE NYC invite the community to connect, learn, heal, and celebrate through the power of books, culture, and plant medicine.

This summer EXHALE is back with New York’s radically-chill fusion of cannabis empowerment that centers the Black, Brown, Latinx, and Indigenous Communities. This outdoor Flower-adorned Day Party takes place at Padre Plaza, a Community Garden with lush and lively “greenery” and high-vibes from NYC’s own DJ’s. Enjoy Poetry, Soundbaths, & Infused Brunch—all in a private, pro-flower safe space. Join the mailing list below for early ticket releases!
