THE EXHALE 2024 BUMP & GROUND TOUR

In 2024, Lezcronymz Productions and Heavenly Herbs takes EXHALE Philly on the road to “Bump-N-Ground” with flower-lovers from all over the U.S. in an effort to bring a sense of solidarity and empowerment among black & latinx folk who indulge in Cannabis. We closed out 2023 with the debut of the EXHALE Brunch Series and our must successful virtual event yet, For the Love of Cannabis. 500 guests and over 50 local businesses who were ready to shed the stigma and celebrate plant medicine through art, music, and supporting local businesses attended these powerful events over the course of 2023.

The Bump & Ground Tour invites cannabis-enthusiasts, wellness advocates, and brunch-lovers to attend the event in various cities across the U.S. At the forefront of EXHALE is the very visible initiative to identify the production as a “safe-space” for the LGBTQ Community. The messaging of “intentional inclusivity” is prominent in the production’s brand voice. As Co-creator of EXHALE explains it:

“For many LGBTQ identified people, we’re unsure whether or not certain spaces are “for us.” Fear of judgment, homophobia, and other perceived dangers leads us to miss out on critical mental health and wellness information that is available to the Black community. The segregation and the unspoken “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy that supersedes events in so-called “community” spaces has got to change. We all deserve access to wellness spaces as our whole selves.”

Fame Neal, EXHALE Philly Co-Producer

EXHALE Philly combines afro-beats, alternative-soul, and hip-hop vibes with social activism and health & wellness initiatives. In this press release the creators explain their position and angle when it comes to the creation of EXHALE. At EXHALE the focus isn’t flower vendors and infused foods—it’s community. LIVE Painting, Dance Performances, Sound-baths, Meditation, Massage-Therapy, Crystal Vendors, and of course—infusions can be found sprinkled throughout a carefully selected local vendor line-up.

Social Activism is a huge part of EXHALE’s mission which pivots the event production in the direction of contributing to community cannabis reform initiatives. The first EXHALE event of 2023 raised funds for a Philly-area community space The Lair 420, that was determined to be unlawfully raided by the Philadelphia Police Department in 2023. Funds were used to repair damage caused by the raid and for legal fees for those unjustly arrested and detained. At EXHALE II, the social activism organization Free My Weedman was highlighted to bring awareness to the injustices caused by racist drug policies. Free My Weedman is rooted in amplifying the stories of the survivors of the war on drugs.

EXHALE organizers urge any social activism groups who would like to find out more information on how to become a beneficiary to contact exhalephilly@gmail.com.
