Women Supporting Women, But At What Cost? A Call for Fair Pay and Ethical Practices Amongst Women

n recent years, the idea of “women supporting women” has gained a significant amount of traction. On the surface, it’s a beautiful concept: empowering each other, building networks, and celebrating the achievements of women across industries. However, beneath this empowering slogan, an often-overlooked issue has begun to emerge: women perpetuating the same exploitative systems in professional environments as men, especially when it comes to issues of fair pay, ethical agreements, and compensation for labor.

How to Show Grace After Being Wronged: 7 Essential Steps for Supporting Your Wellness

A desire for change and the ability to offer grace after being wronged is a powerful and transformative thing. It opens the door to healing and creates space for growth, both for ourselves and others. However, there is such a thing as inappropriate hope—the kind of hope that keeps us holding on to situations, people, or patterns that no longer serve us. Offering grace shouldn’t come at the expense of our mental, emotional, or spiritual well-being. At some point, we must protect our own peace, even if it means letting go of someone or something that once mattered. In this post, I explore seven steps to help you navigate the journey of forgiveness while preserving your sense of self-worth and wellness. These steps encourage hope, but also remind you that sometimes the most loving act you can offer is to let go and choose your own healing.

Trump’s Freeze on Federal Funding: A Dangerous Move for Americans and Organizations.

Donald Trump’s recent attempt to freeze nearly $6 billion in federal funding has sparked widespread concern, threatening critical programs that millions of Americans depend on. From student loans and financial aid to healthcare, scientific research, and social services, the freeze could have devastating effects on both individuals and organizations across the country. For students, it means a halt to federal loan forgiveness programs and grants that make education accessible. Nonprofits, research institutions, and public health agencies—many of which rely on government funding to operate—could be forced to cut services or shut down entirely.

Thankfully, a federal judge temporarily paused the freeze, providing much-needed relief. But the legal battle is far from over, and the threat of the freeze returning looms large. As the courts continue to weigh in, it’s crucial for concerned citizens to stay informed, contact their representatives, and support advocacy efforts aimed at protecting federal funding for essential services. Without action, the long-term consequences of this freeze could undermine vital aspects of American society, from healthcare to education and beyond.
